Scuba —
I’ve been scuba diving for the last 10 years and there is almost no other feeling in the world that comes close. From diving the continental shelf to fresh water springs, from James Bond film locations to the largest aquarium in the world. Recently I have acquired specialty certifications in “Stress & Rescue,” “Enriched Air, Nitrox Level 2,” “Night Diving,” “Navigation,” and “Deep Diving.” Every time I’m beneath the waves I feel like I’m In a completely different world. To breathe underwater is one of the most fascinating and unimaginable sensations. Eventually I’ll get my Dive Instructor certification and then, I’ll be able to show others what it is like to dip beneath the waves.
Obstacle Course Racing —
We are known as Spartans, Tough Mudders, Savages and Barbarians, I’ve even honored the fallen by competing in Bonefrog, the Navy Seal Obstacle Course Race. Regardless of what we go by, we know that there will be enough mud and obstacles to deter many; however, it is the few that form our tight knit community that binds us together through an unbreakable camaraderie that is built on the foundation of perseverance, willpower and determination. We all started for different reasons, but what we all have in common is that OCR has become a catalyst for our transformation in us and in life and it is because of that, that we can say, “You’ll know at the finish line!”
